We've been relegated to a day of Shrek and Madagascar today because Sophia is recovering from some sort of stomach flu. She was sick six times in two hours last night, then slept fitfully in our bed.
I'm tired.
Trying not to be grumpy.
She's feeling better today, but I can't get very far.
Hoping this isn't indicative of our winter.
No, not indicative, indeed!
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be a great winter, fraught with healthy children roaming the neighborhood, joyfully playing in the snow and enjoying warm cups of almond milk cocoa in the evenings. Us moms will be cuddled in our sexily-tight sweaters and smaller-sized-than-last-winter-jeans and will peacfully sip our mixed coffee drinks and nibble our delicious snacks while our eyes mist with gratefullness for our well-behaved children and hard-working men.
Repeat after me three times - "It's going to be the best winter ever!" before getting out the cleaner to wipe up the next round of vomit and snot.
That really, really, really made me smile! Especially the outfit I'm wearing in that snapshot, considering the fact that today I'm wearing Erick's bright orange hoodie and some stretchy pants and glasses. I'm going back to yours.
ReplyDeleteIt's going to be the best winter ever!
Wow! It really IS going to be the best winter ever!
