Five Days of Fun!

We just said goodbye to our nephews. We had five days with them, and we stuffed each day full of adventure. I'm too tired to describe much, so here are some pictures.

Water balloons with the other St. Louis cousins.

At the St. Louis Art Museum. Got them to stop long enough to snap this picture.

Also at the Art Museum, there is currently a traveling exhibit put on by Yoko Ono. It's a wishing tree. Each of the big kids made a wish and secured it carefully.

Bowling was a serious load of fun. A lot more fun than indicated by Henri's face...

Again, Henri's face is not a good measure of how much fun we were having...

These guys give a pretty good clue.

That was just the best time. I love those kids.

Six Flags

Six Flags, brilliantly, offers a free ticket to local kids who read a certain number of books in the spring semester. Sophia met the goal, and I had to buy my ticket and pay the parking to redeem the free ticket. Brilliant.

Scooby Doo greeted us upon our arrival. Sophia was very excited about this, although she was disappointed at his stature.

And we spent the rest of the day right here. At Hurricane Harbor. Yes, we have a membership to our city pool. Yet, somehow, Sophia still insisted that this is how she wanted to spend her one day of Six Flags. We had lots of fun. And wore ourselves out.

The Good Kind of Exhaustion

This was a weekend full. Full of friends and activities and being outside. It was wonderful.

Saturday morning, we got to meet Theo. A perfect sweet little baby. We were all smitten with him. Sophia loved making him cozy.

We dropped Sophia off in Columbia and headed back to St. Louis, where we went to see Nunsense! at the Muny. Fun show. Amazing venue. It may be our only possibility this summer to see a show there.

It's always strange to wander around St. Louis without Sophia, but we do make the best of it!

Last night, we capped off our weekend by going to see John Mayer with two other couples. We had so much fun.

And now Sophia's home. We're resting up from the crazy just in time to head to the pool and wear ourselves out again. It is, after all, summer time. We'll catch up on sleep eventually. I hope.
